CHILD 1
A question had long hanged around her mind, sprouting diverse
branches. There in her melancholic attitude lied no one to run to plus everyone
seemed perfect and without fears.
She had grown up with lots of guilt and fear ruling her. “Will God be so good to me here on earth and cast me away on the final day?” She laid on her bed contemplating
life. She was 21 and uncertain; uncertain about eternity, uncertain about being
loved by God, trying to figure out what next? NYSC was over and nothing seemed
to show up except apologies from diverse firms; the polite ones.
A mail dropped in her inbox;
“Dear Candidate,
Thanks for taking our online aptitude test and interview. We looked through your online assessment, CV, interview processes and concluded that you are a good match to our team.”
“Ye! Me!”
She didn’t see it coming- It was too big a dream to happen. She had assessed her approach to the interview and canceled her possibility of being selected. The mail had more in store, it disagreed with her comfort zone. The Job was a nationwide one and for her, it meant relocation.
“As earlier stated in our application process, you affirmed that you would be available to relocate. You would be resuming at our headquarter in Kano, along with other selected trainees for that branch. All expenses and accommodation processes have been made.
In agreement with this, we would like that you fill the confirmation form on or before 12:00 am within the 24th to 28th of February, 2020.
Her emotions went relinquished but beneath these feelings was God’s grand scheme.
“Kano?” She questioned.
“You are not alone”
She heard her bones state. Bewilder trampled deeper still, purging out more
emotions – fear stood dominant. What was happening? Poor child, she grew up
thinking the Holy Spirit lived outside. The only thing she knew was Jesus is
the Son of God and God as the Sovereign Lord.
“It’s the north Lord, I don’t like it there." Emotions gravitated her to bended knees, stretching her arms over her beds. I’ve never been there and I don’t really know how to…
“My grace is sufficient for you.” She tried to stand but the power of God rested strongly on her. She could sense compassion wrapped around her but there in her head lied lots of questions.
"What was happening?”
